Mortal Kombat Armageddon Fatality Guide (aka - The Art of Maiming)
So here we go, due to a few questions I get on my vids, I have put together a ‘How-to’ on doing ultimate fatalities. I will just list how to do the ultimate fatalities I have on youTube at the moment, and give a few pointers into the timing and tricks that make it easier. First off, look at this: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/mortal_kombat_armageddon_finishing.txt. Credits to Hayashizaki(IGN) and M2V3A(IGN). This is basically what I used to figure it all out. How to do all the moves are in there, it also has all the info you need about character classes and whatnot. Anyway, on with the show….
Here are things you need to know:
- Although the ripping moves look great, they take time to do. And since your time runs out quickly in the end, they are better off done at the start.
- Some of these start out the same, its because the movements are piss easy, I try to do my fatalities forward move, back move, up move, down move just cos its easy to remember
- When in doubt, FINISH HIM. As long as you have a finisher you will get Koins. 6 hits with money means more than a failed ultimate
- You can only pull 2 arms off Goro and Kintaro. I have spent ages trying to get all 4. It doesn’t work.
- Speed is the key, I tend to use a lot of UU1, DD1 type moves cos they are so quick it is an easy way to add hits to the fatality in the middle
- Draw your sword. Just pulling out the sword is 1 hit counted. Then a quick FF1, FF2, they have no arms and you have 3 hits already.
Thats all I can think of at the moment. On with the guide to my MKA Fatalities. Before I start, here are the buttons -
PS2:
1 - Square
2 - Triangle
3 - X
4 - Circle
Xbox:
1 - X
2 - Y
3 - A
4 - B
Fatality 1 - Moloch - 11 Hits
This fatality is the easiest one in the game, it works with all boss-type characters and is also a big glitch. Unlike all other characters, boss types get a hit counted for transitions like knocking them face down, turning them around etc. To do this one:
FF1, UU1, FB1, DF1, FF1, DF1, DF1, DF1, DF1, DF1, FF4
Have a play around, but this is a really easy way to get money, or just to show you can do one.
Fatality 2 - Ashrah - 11 Hits
Okay, Ashrah is a type 3 sword character. The only other is Cyrax. I have no idea why, but it’s cos that guide says so. It means they have limited transitions and some different finishers. Her fatality is:
Not too shabby. But I deliberately did this to show what was unique about type 3, ie the head impale. You will notice theres 12 moves in the actual fatality, To do this:
FF2, BB2, FF1, DD1, BB1, UU1, UDU1, FF1, FF1, DB2, FF1, FF4.
Fatality 3 - Dairou - 11 Hits
Dairou is a Sword type 1 character, same as Sub Zero, Scorpion, Li Mei and Kenshi. The signature move, the dreaded shish kebab. Take a look:
FF2, DD2, FF1, UU1, BB1, DD1, FB1, UDU1, FF1, FF2, DF1, FF4
Fatality 4 - Mavado - 11 Hits
I was particularly happy with this one, the hooksword made it look quite vicious. Mavado is a Short Sword character, so is Kano, Kira and Mileena. The short sword characters can do face down transitions and have a decap finisher, but I thought I would show the impale, cos theyre naice.
To do this:
FF1, UU1, BB1, DD1, UDU1, FF1, FF2, BB3, DD3, UU3, DB2, FF4
Fatality 5 - Jarek - 11 Hits
Jarek is the ONLY axe character in the game. Why isn’t Ermac you ask? How the hell should I know? Kabal isn’t in the same class as Mavado for weapons either, and according to the story, Mavado uses Kabal’s hookswords. Maybe we weren’t meant to ask those questions…. Anyway, for this fatality, I just did the decapitation cos having an axe makes it look awesome.
Here’s how to do it:
FF2, BB2, DD2, FF1, BB1, UU1, DD1, UDU1, FF1, FF2, FF4
Fatality 6 - Ermac - 10 Hits
Ermac is a completely standard character, cant draw a sword. Or his axe….. But I did this one to show a really standard one, nothing flashy. I tried to make the movements pretty simple, I kind of forgot what I was doing in the end, so if its done quickly it should look awesome.
DD2, UU2, UU3, FF1, BB1, UU1, DD1, DB1, UU1, FF1, DD2, FF4.
So there you have it, 6 fairly simple ultimate fatalities for Mortal Kombat Armageddon. Have a look at that guide and play around, let me know what you come up with if you want. Im not sure what you want here man, all the moves are listed after each video, if its something on here you don’t quite understand then I can try to help you out
what does ff uu dd udu and that other stuff mean
Hey chris,
U -> Up
D -> Down
F -> Forward
B -> Back
The 1, 2, 3 and 4 buttons are listed at the top for whatever console you’re on
I finaly found a cheat for infinite money,first go to the kript, and then tipe:up,down,up,down,up,down,circle, then do the sameten times more and presto!

Scorpion is a type 1 sword character, so you can use the movements for Dairou and it will work for him. I let my mate borrow the game so when I get it back I will make one and record it for you.

can someone tell me if sword fatality moves are possible with a self-made fighter? is a created fighter standard type, and if so i there any way to change that?

mike: dont worry man, everyone’s a beginner in the start. you just start any fatality combo and it will change black automatically

how do u take out sword with created frighter i got scorpion sword so do i press the same bottons?
you cant mate, i dont think you can do anything but stand front on. i put some fatalities on my 3rd guide using a created character, try them out.

PLease please put up a complete guide to all the ultimate fatalities, but if I could make a request, I love fighting with the girls. I like Ermac quite a lot. Easy combos, cool moves and fatalities, not a bad story. I think theres other characters id choose for better fatalities or combos but as an overall characrer its Ermac.

Kinda, there’s different character types, and for each type the fatalities are interchangable. If you follow through to the main guide its all listed there

nah, 1 fatality per character. most of the fatalities are interchangable anyway

Hey Peeps this is how to do ultimate Fatality with Cyrax Be On Left Side Alway…… Right Left Square, Down Down X, Up Down Up Square, Left Left Square,Down Left Square, Right Right Square, Up Up Square, Down Down Square,Left Left Triangle, Down Down Triangle, Up Up 0, But if that end doesnt work put Right Right 0 Instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah man, times they are a-becoming quite different. as fun as it was to do the guide i kind of hope they bring back the older ones next game
dang, you’re good man, the most iv gotten is an eight hit fatality, im still learning the branching for knocking your opponent on their knees, and on their belly, plus pulling pout your sword, so im still getting there.
hey, when you rip both arms off with BF2, how do you slap them with both arms?
BF3 mate. you can do it 2 times but you have to do it pretty early on cos it takes a lot of time. If you are really tricky you can rip both arms off, hit them twice, then hit them 2 more times with 1 of the arms. Check out the Kobra fatality in the main guide
ultimate fatality for scorpion… (kinda difficult, but it can be done.)

I think I know one awsome fatality!!! It is uu2 ff2 dd2 bb2 ff1 dd1 bb1 bb1 uu1 and any finisher move it is very har thou, but it is cool!!!

Hi I’m not new to mortal kombat I can do the fatalities, but my trouble is the transition moves. such as knees, face down, face up etc. plus how to draw a sword during the fatality stage. If you could help me with the buttons used for which transition phases could you. I know that db1 dropes, and db1 also lifts them back up, but thats all I can figure out. thanks for your time

if you wish you can change the last part (FF4) for UU4 OR BB4 but I prefer the FF4 because that’s a decapitation with a short sword jejejejeje

o and forgot to ask, how do you know what type of weapon your kreated karacter is? think mine uses a katana well did. i had the game beat all the characters created one and all, somehow my profile doesnt show up on the game now but it shows up on my memory card so i had to start over today
